MOTOR VEHICLE INSURANCE
We understand how your Lexus will become an indispensable part of your life. So Melbourne City Lexus has developed vehicle insurance protection which helps you avoid costly repairs or the inconvenience of being without your vehicle altogether.
With a Lexus Insurance Comprehensive Motor Vehicle policy, you have the comfort of knowing that if your Lexus is stolen or damaged beyond repair within its original new vehicle warranty period, and has travelled less than 100,000 km since first registration, it will be replaced with a new Lexus.
For further peace of mind, we provide your Lexus with a genuine original factory Lexus parts guarantee and a quality guarantee on all repairs, provided you remain the owner of the vehicle.
The Lexus Insurance Comprehensive Motor Vehicle policy also provides:
- car hire to a maximum of $75 per day for up to 14 days if your vehicle is stolen
- up to $500 for emergency trip continuation expenses
- up to $500 for emergency repairs costs
- protection of your “no claim bonus” if you are not at fault
- a “no fault excess benefit” with no excess payable if you are deemed to be not at fault and you have provided us with full details of the other party
- protection of your legal liability and help with legal costs for damage to other people’s property up to $20,000,000.
- cover for your personal items in the vehicle up to $1000
- cover for baby seats and capsules in the vehicle up to $500
- transfer of cover if you replace your vehicle
- Windscreen cover – up to 2 windscreen claims with no payment of excess or loss of no claim bonus in any 12 month period (conditions apply)

FINANCE GAP INSURANCE
In the unfortunate event of your car being stolen or damaged beyond repair, there may be a “gap” between the total loss payment received from your comprehensive motor vehicle insurer (total loss payment) and what you still owe the financier.
Finance Gap Insurance helps to protect you from financial loss and personal inconvenience that may occur. Depending on the cover option chosen, it provides you with up to $30,000 for the “gap” between the total loss payment for the vehicle and the outstanding balance of your vehicle finance contract.
It also provides up to $4,000 (depending on the cover chosen) for additional expenses associated with your purchase of a replacement vehicle. Finance Gap Insurance also covers new finance establishment fees up to $750 when your replacement vehicle is financed with Lexus Financial Services.
A simple one-off premium can be included in the total amount being financed to protect you for the duration of your finance contract.
