Liminal Cycles by Crafting Plastics
Upon arrival to LANDMARK by Lexus, guests will be welcomed by Liminal Cycles — a fragmented 3D-printed central sculpture by Slovakia-based research and design studio Crafting Plastics. This immersive installation will engage guests through reactive colour changes.
The innovative sculpture draws inspiration from the sleek spindle body of the Lexus LF-ZC concept vehicle, which is itself a statement of future Lexus design.
Like the concept car, the artistic rendition uses innovative materials. The bioplastic skin reacts dynamically to light and human movement, creating a pulsating effect that mimics the rhythm of breathing.
This kinetic sculpture creates an immersive connection between the artwork and its audience, exploring themes of form, intention, sustainability and responsiveness.
By intersecting craft with thought-provoking technology, ‘Liminal Cycles’ embodies this year’s LANDMARK by Lexus theme: Synthesis.

Meet the 2025 Collaborators
Distinguished interior designer and Friend of Lexus Brahman Perera returns to LANDMARK by Lexus this year. Passionate in the pursuit of experiential beauty, Perera lovingly creates opulent, layered and magical spaces.
At the helm of this year’s culinary offering is chef Josh Raine. Former Executive Chef of Tetsuya’s and chef-owner of 40Res, Raine's journey was refined through Japanese respect and ethos.
Melbourne-based collage artist and designer, Simone Esterhuizen, intersects the nostalgia of physical print with the digital world. Her work pays homage to the photographers, models and graphic artists forgotten in discarded source material.
Le Yeahllow is a modern French inspired patisserie in Melbourne, creating innovative cakes and pastries that are refined, creative and memorable.
Simone and her team deliver considered, creative floral projects from initial conception through to production and installation. Sourcing and arranging the finest quality, seasonal blooms is at the core of Fjura’s work.
